To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate. With secret, signature, celebrity cameos, Disney’s “The Muppets” hits the big screen Nov. 23, 2011.

Marble This!!!!!

Water Marble Away!!!!! This was one of those mani's I had to figure out how the hell it work for everybody else and not for me... but I got it, finally! I have looked in awe at other peoples water marbling skills for to long, it was time to take the bull by the horns!!! I did go online and did a little research before I started, watched a few you tube videos... guess what it helped:)
I am in this fall mood, I think its cause all the clothes at work have changed from summer to fall colors, but anyway I used the Zoya smoke and mirrors collection for this water marbling. I started off with Jana as a base color and then picked out three others... Dree, Jem and Cynthia.
Here is a picture of all of them:)

Water Marbling colors:)

So like I said before I had to do some research and found out you need to use some tape ... I said to myself tape, really??? But trust me, yes you need tape.  You put the tape around your cuticles, to keep down on the mess. Here is a picture of my nail taped up (btw I have already done almost all my nails in this picture so there is a little mess).

taped up

So I'm going to start off with showing you the candle votive I used ( instead of a cup) with the bulls eye of the polish.

this is one drop of each color in the center
like a bulls eye

And here is more color added.

this is color added three times each
As you can plainly see Bulls Eye!!! Now on a few of mine they were a little off, miss shaped but its still cool cause next you are going to stir the colors up.

ready for dipping

I stirred up the colors with a tooth pick. I never went to far out and always  wiped off the tooth pick with a paper napkin after each run through. Okay so you have your nail taped and the colors the way you want its time to put your nail right where you want it, turn the cup if need be. Nail facing to cup go right on top of the color and press down, have a extra stick to round up the extra polish before you remove your nail, so the polish doesn't mess up you design. And here are a few pictures of the finished water marbling look:)

I always like a little sparkle on top of just about all my polish, so I also added Fairy Dust by China Glaze. Here is a picture of the *sparkle*

I hope you polish friends love this as much as I do ♥ I know I'm going to have to do this about a million times more with all kinds of colors and maybe challenge myself with doing designs in the water... or maybe I'll just stick to this for a while:) If you have tried water marbling how did it work for you? If you haven't are you maybe thinking about it now???

Until next time, Happy Polishing everybody!
Love,
Anne

Part 2 Zoya Smoke and Mirrors

Here we go everybody Mirrors the second part of the new Zoya fall collection.  I have to say from the bottom of my little heart that this collection is the "pot of gold at the end of the rainbow"!!!! This half of the collection is what I'm going to be wearing all season long:) I love all the colors (even the green one, lol). I think that Zoya has made Fall SEXY with these colors!!!
Okay so looking in the box at all six you have Nimue, Marina, Tao, Yara, Neeka, and Jem. They all have a shimmer to them Yara, Neeka and Jem have glitter also. These six remind me of driving in the mountains looking at all the fall colors on the trees... beautiful! Here is a picture of the entire collection.

Starting right off with Nimue. This is a dark lavender with a shimmer. Kinda reminds me of grapes right before they come off the vine.

Marina is a slate blue shimmer. This one is going to be used quite often with me I love, love , love it. Think rain cloud with a silver lining:)

Tao is a shimmery steal color, kinda tough but pretty. All I can think of is the sour patch candy commercial first they are bad then they are sweet:)

Alright now we have Yara, a green sparkly color. Many of you know I'm not a green person but will try anything, I have to say I kinda like this one. Reminds me of a tough chic with army fatigues and some 6" heels on ... don't mess with this bitch!!!

Neeka is a purple glitter polish. I was thinking grape soda with gold fizz:)

Last but not least we have Jem. This polish is burgundy with glitter, kinda looks like a dual chrome to me (sorry you can't see that in the picture). Jem reminds me of a very sexy lip stick that you can't wait to put on for your man!!!

And there you have it everybody the Zoya Mirrors collection. Zoya has really struck gold with this fall collection! I'm going to be using all of these when it gets cold enough here (which might not be for a while) or maybe before. So everybody I hope you got your Zoya promotion ready cause if I was you I would be getting some of these polishes super fast!!
Let me know what you think of the new collection and which one is your favorite!!!

Happy polishing everyone!
Love,
Anne

Part 1 Zoya's Smoke and Mirrors

I was fortunate enough to have received from Zoya both Smoke and Mirrors from their fall collection to review. I'm sorry its taken so long to put them up but life is crazy right now.
So lets start off with Smoke, there are 6 cream colors with a rich deep fall feel to them. The more I looked at them in the box the more I thought to myself I've seen these colors some place ... Oh yeah at work (I work in retail). All of these colors compliment our fall line almost to a T. I have to say these 6 are great for office wear and are going to go great with everything you have started to look at for fall:) Okay so in the "smoke" box we have Jana, Petra, Codie, Anja, Cynthia, and Dree.  Here is a picture of both collections.

I hope you can see the difference in the Smoke and Mirrors collection.

I started off with Jana. This is a medium rose lavender color, which reminds me of a being outside on a cool fall day with a good book.

Petra is a darker purple that was just a little to dark for my taste on nails but very pretty.

Codie is a VERY deep chocolate brown, think Hersey bar (dark chocolate). It could have been just a bit lighter so you could tell that it was brown, after two coats it was way too dark almost black.

Anja a beautiful deep burgundy, I think was the prettiest out of the set and would defiantly go with tons of new fall clothes.

Cynthia a dark teal, all I have to say is ♥.

Dree ... well  its green and it reminded me of baby food PEAS!!! I know that we have a lot of things at work that would go with this color but I don't believe I could pull this one off with out a stamp on top or something.

I am still working on the second half of this review and will hopefully have it up soon. These are beautiful fall colors and I think that one of these or more should end up in your collection.
I can't wait until it gets a little cooler here so I can show everyone at work how well these Zoya's compliment our fall line:)
Okay lovelies happy polishing, Love ya ♥
