31 Days of October... Breast Cancer Awareness

Hey everyone:) Since it's October I wanted to do a BCA post and give y'all some information on breast cancer.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide and the second-most common cancer overall. In 2014, an estimated 232,030 cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in the U.S. alone. So no matter who you are or where you live, understanding breast cancer is important. But the most important thing to know is this: a diagnosis is not a death sentence. Breast cancer can be treated.

American Cancer Society recommendations for early breast cancer detection:

Women age 40 and older should have a screening mammogram every year and should continue to do so for as long as they are in good health.
Women in their 20s and 30s should have a clinical breast exam (CBE) as part of a periodic (regular) health exam by a health professional, at least every 3 years. After age 40, women should have a breast exam by a health professional every year.
Breast self-exam (BSE) is an option for women starting in their 20s. Women should be told about the benefits and limitations of BSE. Women should report any breast changes to their health professional right away.
Here is my Breast Cancer Awareness Mani :)

There is hope out there for people with breast cancer and I pray that the doctors find a cure soon! Please do your self exams and if you find something go get it checked! Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of this mani.
Praying for a Cure!
Love,
~Anne~
